    What is pre-approval?

    Pre-approval is a written commitment from a bank to grant you a mortgage of a certain amount and term based on your income and credit history. Valid for 30–60 days.

    It gives you two advantages: you know your budget exactly before picking an apartment, and the developer treats you as a ready buyer — that's a reason for a discount or a hold without prepayment.
